Explore Rural Life & Sustainable Agriculture at Go Noi Village | from Hoi An, Vietnam (HUT_18)

Get on a small local wooden boat to reach Go Dinh, the largest vegetable farming area in the village. You will walk across a long, handmade 200-meter bamboo bridge built by the local farmers.

Walk directly into the large vegetable fields to watch farmers planting, working the soil, and watering their crops. Your guide will explain exactly how this village survived the war and rebuilt its farms.

Take the boat back to Cam Phu village, pick up your bicycle, and ride safely along the flat paths. You will cycle past rice fields, lotus ponds, and local houses with active cow and pig pens.

Stop to watch local craftsmen cutting and shaping traditional wooden items at a village workshop. Next, visit Uncle Giao’s farm to pick up tools, learn how to grow organic vegetables, and see his snail farm.

Cycle to another local family’s house and walk straight into their backyard vegetable garden. You will use your hands to pick fresh mint, basil, perilla, and lettuce to eat with your lunch.

Pour rice batter into a hot pan to cook your own crispy Banh Xeo (Vietnamese pancake) with a local chef. While cooking, listen to the host explain how the village uses organic recycling to support local agriculture.

Sit down to eat the hot pancakes you just made, wrapped with the fresh herbs you picked. The large family meal also includes garden chicken, wild fish, and a local jackfruit and shrimp salad.

Leave the village on the bus and make a quick stop at the busy Phu Bong local market. You will see how rural residents buy and sell fresh meat, fish, and daily goods.
